Smoke Shop Arrests - 3/26/2025

Fairfield, CT — On March 26, 2025, the Fairfield Police Department Detective Division, in collaboration with multiple state agencies, conducted a series of inspections at local smoke shops in the town of Fairfield. These inspections, conducted in partnership with the Department of Consumer Protection, Department of Mental Health Services, Department of Labor, and Department of Revenue Services, uncovered a significant quantity of illegal THC products, including vape pens, edibles, pre-rolls, and marijuana.

The Fairfield Police Department's Quality of Life Unit seized the illegal contraband, and investigations into these businesses are ongoing. The following establishments were inspected:

  1. US 1 Vape Shop, 2475 Black Rock Turnpike
  2. World Smoke & Cigar located, 95 Reef Road

As a result of these inspections, the Fairfield Police Department arrested the following individuals for Possession of Marijuana over 8oz with Intent to Sell and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in a Drug Factory Situation:

  1. Aseel Alsaidi (DOB 11/9/1997), US 1 Vape Shop
  2. Jabar Saidi (DOB 5/19/1997), US 1 Vape Shop

The following individual was arrested for Possession of Marijuana over 1KG with Intent to Sell and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in a Drug Factory Situation:

  1. Issa Albahari (DOB 11/10/2001), World Smoke & Cigar

Both establishments were cited for Illegal Sale of Vape/Nicotine Products to a Person Under the Age of 21 Years Old. All three individuals were issued a court appearance date of April 9, 2025, at Bridgeport Superior Court.
