K9 Penny joined the Fairfield Police Department as part of the department’s K9 Unit and is partnered with Officer Renaldi. Penny is trained in tracking and trailing and assists officers in locating suspects and missing persons.

Since beginning her training, Penny has demonstrated strong drive, focus, and a growing ability to work complex tracks. She has successfully completed her North American Police Work Dog Association tracking and trailing certification, allowing the team to deploy in situations where individuals need to be located quickly and safely.

Like all police K9s, Penny undergoes continuous training to maintain her skills and readiness. Her work supports patrol operations and enhances the department’s ability to respond to critical incidents involving missing persons and fleeing suspects.
