National Night Out is an annual community building campaign that promotes positive relationships between law enforcement, public safety agencies, community organizations, businesses, and the residents they serve. Held in communities across the country, National Night Out provides an opportunity for neighbors to come together, strengthen community partnerships, and learn about resources that help keep neighborhoods safe.

The Fairfield Police Department is proud to host Fairfield's first National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This family friendly event will transform Sherman Green and Reef Road into a community gathering space where residents can meet police officers, firefighters, emergency responders, town departments, local businesses, and community organizations in a fun and welcoming environment.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore public safety vehicles through a Touch A Truck experience, watch a K9 demonstration, enjoy food trucks, participate in kid focused activities, connect with community organizations, and enter to win raffle prizes. The event is designed to encourage positive interaction, build trust, and showcase the many partnerships that help make Fairfield a safe and vibrant community.

Whether you're interested in learning more about public safety, discovering local resources, or simply spending an evening with your neighbors, National Night Out offers something for everyone. We invite residents of all ages to join us as we celebrate community, connection, and our shared commitment to keeping Fairfield a great place to live, work, and visit.

Activity Passport

The Activity Passport is your child's guide to exploring National Night Out!

When children arrive, they'll receive an Event Passport featuring a selection of participating community activity stations located throughout the event.

Each station offers a fun, hands-on activity, demonstration, game, or challenge hosted by one of our community partners.

After completing an activity, participants will receive a stamp in their passport. Once every activity in their passport has been completed, they can turn it in at the raffle table to receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win one of our exciting kids prizes.

The fun doesn't have to stop there! Multiple versions of the passport will be available, each featuring a different combination of activity stations. After turning in a completed passport, children are welcome to pick up another one, continue exploring the event, and earn additional raffle tickets.

The Activity Passport encourages families to visit organizations from across Fairfield, discover local resources, and experience everything National Night Out has to offer. Whether you're learning e-bike safety, trying magnet fishing, making a postcard for a senior, or participating in another interactive activity, every stop is another opportunity to learn, have fun, and earn another chance to win!
