National Night Out is an annual community building campaign that promotes positive relationships between law enforcement, public safety agencies, community organizations, businesses, and the residents they serve. Held in communities across the country, National Night Out provides an opportunity for neighbors to come together, strengthen community partnerships, and learn about resources that help keep neighborhoods safe.

The Fairfield Police Department is proud to host Fairfield's first National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This family friendly event will transform Sherman Green and Reef Road into a community gathering space where residents can meet police officers, firefighters, emergency responders, town departments, local businesses, and community organizations in a fun and welcoming environment.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore public safety vehicles through a Touch A Truck experience, watch a K9 demonstration, enjoy food trucks, participate in kid focused activities, connect with community organizations, and enter to win raffle prizes. The event is designed to encourage positive interaction, build trust, and showcase the many partnerships that help make Fairfield a safe and vibrant community.

Whether you're interested in learning more about public safety, discovering local resources, or simply spending an evening with your neighbors, National Night Out offers something for everyone. We invite residents of all ages to join us as we celebrate community, connection, and our shared commitment to keeping Fairfield a great place to live, work, and visit.
